Dimmable Light Sensors

Dimmers are devices connected to a light fixture and used to
lower the brightness of light. By changing the voltage waveform
applied to the lamp, it is possible to lower the intensity of the light output. Although variable-voltage devices are used for various purposes, the term dimmer is generally reserved for those intended to control light output from resistive incandescent, halogen, and(more recently) compact fluorescent lights(CFLs) and light-emitting diodes (LEDs). More specialized equipment is needed to dimfluorescent, mercury vapor, solid-state, and
other arc lighting.

Mood / Event based lighting system.

A mood lighting system is simply a lighting system which controls the lights in a room (or every room of your home). Lighting is split in to channels and a lighting keypad has a number of buttons which allow you to recall scenes. Pressing a button on the lighting keypad (recalling a scene) simply brings light channels on to present levels.

Occupancy sensor based lighting switches.

Occupancy sensors detect the presence or absence of people and turn lights on and off accordingly. They may reduce lighting energy consumption by 50 percent or more in some circumstances, but the savings for any given installed sensor can be much less.
